HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies quickly put up 11 points, seven from Silas Bennion, to gain a lead of five (11-6) in the first four minutes. The Tigers responded with an eight-point run to lead by three.
- Christian Lietz hit two jumpers and a three, and Cole Woodford added two points to end the Tiger streak. With 8:53 remaining in the first, the Jimmies led 20-14.
- After that, the Jimmies managed to stay in the lead the rest of the game. Their next nine points came from threes by Woodford, Spencer Barr, and Bennion (29-21).
- Tigers hit a three with 22 seconds remaining, ending the half behind three (33-36).
- Bennion started up the second half. He had two and ones in under a minute of game time, one of those resulting from a steal.
- The Jimmies kept pulling away, eventually gaining a lead that put them out of the Broncos reach. The closest the Broncos could get to the Jimmies was six points in the second half.
