Welcome to the University of Jamestown Athletics compliance homepage. Compliance with NCAA rules and regulations is one of the highest priorities for our athletics program and institution. As a provisional member of the NCAA, the University of Jamestown is responsible for monitoring the actions of coaches, staff, student-athletes and boosters. This website provides an overview of the basic NCAA rules that impact prospective student-athletes (recruits/prospects), current student-athletes, and representatives of athletics interests (boosters, alumni, etc).Â
The University of Jamestown has been accepted into the NCAA Division II Expedited Provisional Membership Process and has begun a two-year transition process. The University of Jamestown has been accepted to be a member for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) beginning in 2025-2026. The following is the timeline for progressing through the Division II Membership Process:
2024-2025 – Year One of the Expedited Provisional Membership Process
The University of Jamestown must be fully compliant with NCAA DII Legislation. The Jimmies will compete as part of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) in the NAIA and be eligible for NAIA post season competition.
Â
2025-2026 – Year Two of the Expedited Provisional Membership Process
The University of Jamestown will be in full compliance with NCAA DII legislation. The Jimmies will compete as a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) and will not be eligible for the majority of NSIC Championships. The Jimmies will not be eligible for any NCAA DII postseason competition during this year, but is exploring membership in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) in order to allow national postseason opportunities for our student-athletes.
Â
2026-27 -Â Full NCAA Division II and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Membership
The University of Jamestown will be in full compliance with NCAA DII legislation.  Provided Jamestown has met all expectations in the NCAA DII Expedited Provisional Membership Process, the Jimmies will compete as a full member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, and will be eligible for NSIC Championships as well as NCAA DII postseason competition.
