GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Jamestown men's basketball team found themselves down 12 at the half against Providence (Mont.), but were unable to complete a comeback in a 95-79 loss to the Argos Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies opened up an eight-point lead just under five minutes into the game, but the Argos quickly got within two at 16-14 with 12:27 remaining.
- Spencer Barr made a jumper to start an 8-2 run as UJ pushed their lead to 24-16 after a three-pointer by Cole Woodford.
- Jamestown's last lead of the half came after Silas Bennion scored to make it 26-22, but three consecutive threes by Providence put UJ behind 31-26.
- A scoring drought of nearly three minutes hurt the Jimmies' chances of cutting into the Argos' lead. Will Cordes made a three-pointer to cut the score to 48-37 at the 2:46 mark.
- Providence kept Jamestown at arm's length for most of the second half, maintaining a double-digit lead until Colby Vazquez scored to bring UJ within 68-60.
- A 16-7 run by the Argos put the game out of reach as the lead grew to 17 with 3:02 to play.
FOR THE JIMMIES
- Vazquez led five Jimmies in double figures with 16 points.
- Bennion finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists off the bench.
- Cordes and Woodford both had 12 points, and Jimmy Llinas had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds while adding three blocked shots.
