YANKTON, S.D.—The 16^th-ranked University of Jamestown women's volleyball team won its eighth straight match with a sweep of Mount Marty University Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Jimmies outhit Mount Marty .305 to .000 in winning 25-14, 25-15, 25-16.
• Darienne Johnson's kill gave UJ a 10-3 lead in the first set, and Jamestown's largest lead came after Lexi Olson and Aleah Zieske teamed up for a block to make it 15-7.
• After the Lancers closed the gap to 20-14, five straight Jimmie points clinched the set.
• Mount Marty held an 11-8 edge in the second set, but Johnson had the first and last kill as part of an 9-0 run that turned the tide for UJ.
• The Lancers finally scored to stop the Jimmies' streak and make it 17-12. Grace Hegerle notched a kill to put Jamestown in front by a half-dozen, and UJ finished the set off by scoring seven of the final 10 points.
• The third set was never in question after the Jimmies won eight straight points to turn a 4-3 deficit into a comfortable 11-4 advantage.
• UJ led by as many as 10 in the third, and took advantage of six Lancer attack errors down the stretch to conclude the sweep.

FOR THE JIMMIES

• Olson had nine kills to lead the offense.
• Zieske was next with eight kills, followed by Peyton Wilson with seven, and six each from Hegerle and Johnson.
• Johnson hit a team-high .600 and recorded six total blocks.
• Lily Bertsch passed out 17 assists and Ellie Holen had 23 digs.

FOR THE LANCERS

• Julia Weber had six kills, while Mia Furst, Jaycee Fisher, and Gabby Miller each had five.
• Ally Whitmire passed out 17 assists and had 11 digs.
• Zoie Bertsch led the Lancers with 14 digs.
