Sioux Falls, SD – The University of Jamestown Jimmies Women's Volleyball Team concluded their season with a hard-fought five-set victory (3-2) over the Augustana Vikings at the Elmen Center. After splitting the first four sets, the Jimmies dominated the fifth set with strong attacking and key blocks to secure the final win of the year. The Jimmies finished the match hitting 0.186 as a team, notably stronger than Augustana's 0.096.

• Set 1 (25-20, AU WIN): The Jimmies started slow, hitting 0.071, while the Vikings were able to pull away late to take the first set, 25-20. The Vikings used a Jimmies attacking error to tie the set and take the lead for good, pulling ahead 16-11 on a kill by Maya Wente. Despite a service ace from Momoka Minamiya that closed the gap to 20-24, Vikings secured the set 25-20 on a Jimmie service error.
• Set 2 (25-20, UJ WIN): The Jimmies quickly regained momentum, led by strong attacking 0.229 and defense. The Jimmies established an early 6-1 lead, highlighted by three consecutive Gracie Adamson kills. The Vikings fought back to tie the set at 11-11 on a service ace, but the Jimmies quickly regained control. A crucial run for the Jimmies began with a kill by Ava Mueller (from Lily Bertsch), followed by three consecutive Vikings attacking errors. This run saw the Jimmies build a commanding lead, 20-14. The set was sealed when a block from Caroline Puetz and Addison Brooke led to a 24-20 set point, followed by a Mya Foslien kill to win 25-20.
• Set 3 (25-13, UJ WIN): This was the most dominant set for the Jimmies, fueled by excellent blocking and low errors (only 2 errors) for a 0.303 hitting percentage while holding the Vikings to a 0.000 hitting percentage. The Jimmies quickly built a significant lead at 10-7 after a Mya Foslien kill and two consecutive the Vikings attacking errors. A critical 7-0 Jimmies scoring run extended the lead from 15-10 to 21-10. This run included a block by Caroline Puetz and Kyleigh Schopp, a Viking attacking error, and three kills by Gracie Adamson. The set finished when a Mia Hinsz service ace closed out the 25-13 victory.
• Set 4 (25-21, AU WIN): The Vikings forced a deciding set. The set was extremely tight early, with eight ties, including the score reaching 12-12. A key play was a block by Caroline Puetz and Kyleigh Schopp that tied the set at 13-13, but the Jimmies soon gave up a three-point run allowing the Vikings to pull ahead 18-16. A Mya Foslien kill kept the Jimmies close at 21-23, but the Vikings responded with a Maya Wente kill and then won the set 25-21 on a Sydney Tims kill.
• Set 5 (15-10, UJ MATCH WIN): The Jimmies established immediate control, jumping out to a 6-2 lead after two consecutive kills by Addison Brooke. The Vikings managed to pull within one point at 8-9 on a kill by Brooke Berens, but the Jimmies pulled away with a kill from Ava Mueller and a bad set by Kiylah Franke. The final moments were secured by offense: Gracie Adamson recorded the last two points of the season with back-to-back kills, winning the set 15-10 and the match.
