Jimmies Fall to #9 Concordia-St. Paul in Three Sets Despite Tight Second Set

Jamestown, ND – The University of Jamestown Jimmies Women's Volleyball Team were swept by Concordia-St. Paul in a straight-sets match at Harold Newman Arena. Concordia-St. Paul won the contest with an efficient offense, hitting 0.284 as a team compared to the Jimmies 0.149

• Set 1 (25-16, CSP WIN): The Jimmies struggled with their offense as Concordia-St. Paul took a convincing lead and won by 9 points.

• Set 2 (25-22, CSP WIN): This was the closest set, with the Jimmies finding their rhythm to lead 12-7 after an ace from Ava Bertsch. The Jimmies later led 19-16 before Concordia-St. Paul rallied to tie the set and closed on a 4-1 run to win 25-22.

• Set 3 (25-18, CSP MATCH WIN): Concordia-St. Paul jumped out to an early 6-0 lead. The Jimmies battled back, recording 5 assisted blocks in the set. Despite an ace from Ava Bertsch to bring the Jimmies to 16-21, Concordia-St. Paul's offensive power was too much, and they closed the set 25-18 for the sweep.
