LAST TIME OUT: The Jimmies moved into the NSAA championship game with an 88-66 victory over the Presentation College Saints on February 25. Jessica Buck paced UJ with 15 points, Kyra Dewald chipped in 14, and Kaeli Kraska added 13 off the bench, including three 3-pointers. Chelsey Frydenlund handed out 7 assists and Alexis Watts and Dewald each had 5 rebounds. Jamestown enjoyed a 40-26 rebounding advantage and had assists on 27 of their 31 field goals.
NATIONAL RANKINGS: Jamestown ranks among the top 50 teams in several NAIA Division II categories. Through games of Monday, March 2, the Jimmies were 8th in total rebound margin (9.586), 9th in scoring margin (17.414), 9th in assists per game (17.103), 12th in assist/turnover ratio (1.067), 12th in total rebound defense (34.310), 13th in scoring offense per game (78.552), 14th in offensive rebounds per game (15.759), 17th in turnover margin (3.690), 18th in total rebounds per game (43.897), 18th in total assists (496), 20th in 3-point FG per game (7.103), 24th in total scoring offense (2278), 28th in scoring defense per game (61.138), 28th in steals per game (10.448), 28th in 3-point FG made (206), 32nd in field goal percentage (.423), 35th in total steals (303), 39th in total rebound offense (1273), and 48th in defensive rebounds per game (28.138). Individually, Jessica Buck is 13th in field goal percentage (.537), 36th in points per game (16.966), and 40th in total scoring (492). Kaeli Kraska is 37th in 3-point FG percentage (.383), and Kyra Dewald is 43rd in assist/turnover ratio (1.709).
MILESTONE WATCH: Jessica Buck moved into 18th place on the all-time Jimmie scoring list. She needs 66 points to join the 1000 career point club. Her 492 points in 2014-15 is the 6th most in a single season by a Jimmie. Megan Pold is now in 31st place all-time among UJ scorers, needing just 15 more points to reach 30th place. Jordan Bridges needs 7 points to pass Megan Clark for 44th on the all-time UJ list. Chelsey Frydenlund needs 8 points to pass Joetta Adams for 46th on the all-time list. Kaeli Kraska, Kyra Dewald, and Kadie Savage all passed the 400 career point mark for the Jimmies this season. Jessica Buck's 197 free throw attempts this season is tied for the 2nd most (Kellie Schuneman, 2009-10) in program history. Hannah Steele (225, 2013-14) has the record. The 2278 points scored by UJ this season is the 5th most in school history. The Jimmies' 78.6 points per game would be second-best in school history, behind last season's team, who averaged 82.7 points per contest.
