Jamestown, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's and women's golf teams are set to begin their fall seasons in Hudson, Wis. Monday, September 14 at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl.
 
Jamestown will enter their second year in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and the first as full NCAA Division-II members after the University completed the D-II provisional membership process over the summer.
 
The Team (Men)
 
On the men's side, the Jimmies return nearly every key finisher from a season ago. Cole Campbell is on the spotlight as the Jimmies look to make a push in the NSIC standings. Campbell, also a member of the cross country and track & field teams, was selected as the Student-Athlete to Watch for the Jamestown men's golf team. The Oxbow, N.D. native had a stroke average of 79.9 in 2025-26 with his best performance coming at the Maraduers Invitational where he shot 152 (+8) across the two-day tournament, finishing in a tie for 21^st place in a field of 80 golfers.
 
Sophomores Porter Seidel and Noah Law will also make their way back to Jamestown with the two of them joining Campbell with stroke averages below 80. Seidel averaged a score of 78.85 in 2025 through 15 rounds in his freshman campaign with his scoring average being the best on the team. In October, he finished in 11^th place at the Comets Invitational posting a score of 155 (+13). The Fargo native had his best performance at the Dakota Wesleyan Spring Invitational, where he helped the Jimmies finish in 4^th place as a team while Seidel finished in eighth place overall with a score of 221 (+8) in the three-round tournament, highlighted by an even 71 in the final round. The freshman wrapped up his season at the NSIC Championships shooting 239 (+23) to claim a share of 41^st place.
 
Law had a great freshman season as well, finishing top 15 at both the Comets Invitational and the Dakota Wesleyan Spring Invitational. His best stroke performance came at the Augustana Spring Invitational where he finished in a tie for 22^nd place and was the second Jamestown finisher in the event. He scored a solid 153 (+9) in that tournament with 74 (+2) in the first day, and 79 (+7) in the second. Law was the top finisher for UJ at the NSIC Championship, finishing in 33^rd with a score of 234 (+18).
 
Other key returners for the Jimmies are Carter Johnson, Mac Makuski, and Aiden Hall, all of whom were among the top scorers at various times throughout the 2025-26 season. 
 
The freshman class for UJ features Kyle Campbell, Nathan Hoogsteen, Jack Josephsen, and Aidan Zuger.
 
The Team (Women)
 
At the center of the women's golf team for the Jimmies is Kacie Rexin who was also selected as the Student-Athlete to Watch. Rexin began her 2025 season with a third-place finish at the Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament with a score of 164 (+20) over the two round tournament. Later in the fall, the Sykeston, N.D. native claimed a share of the individual title with a score of 157 (+13) at the Marauders Invitational. The very next tournament, Rexin took sole possession of first place, carding a career-best 150 (+6), beating out the rest of the pack by at least five strokes. At the NSIC Championships, the junior was second on the team and 31^st overall with score of 249 (+33). She finished the season with a solid stroke average of 82.3.
 
Ellie Garavaglia will be another key piece to the Jimmie women's golf team with the fall season ready to get started in a few days. The Wentzville, Mo. native had a stroke average of 89.79 during the 2025-26 season through 23 rounds. She finished inside the top 15 three times at the Marauder Invitational, the Comets Invitational, and the Dakota Wesleyan Spring Invitational. Her best two-round event came at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl in September where she carded 169 (+27). Garavaglia was the third Jamestown finisher in 49^th place during the NSIC Championships, posting a score of 270 (+54) in the tournament.  
 
A few freshmen will make their way to Jamestown in Jaya Farlinger, Mylee Michel, and Addison Walkins, as they look to make a mark on Jimmie women's golf.
 
The Staff
 
The University of Jamestown welcomes Ben Walker as the new Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach. Walker returns to his alma mater to lead the golf programs after graduating from the University of Jamestown in 2003.
 
Walker spent over a decade coaching golf and teaching at Bonneville Joint School District #93 in Ammon, Idaho from 2008 to 2020 while also working at the Idaho Falls Country Club where he provided instruction to various age levels. Before becoming the new head coach at Jamestown, Walker was the Head Golf Coach and a teacher at the West Fargo Public Schools from 2020 until his hiring at UJ this summer.
 
Along with Walker, Max Noffsinger will be a graduate assistant with the two golf teams.
 
The Schedule

Both the Jimmies men's and women's golf teams will play in five tournaments during the fall of 2026, all of which will span two rounds of play. Starting with action this coming Monday and Tuesday, the Jimmies will be hitting the links on Monday and Tuesday for five consecutive weeks.
 
Opening action will come in the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl taking place at the Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis. (9/14 & 9/15). One week after that, the Jimmies will play at the Jewel Invitational at the Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minn. (9/21 & 9/22).
 
The next two weeks, UJ will head to North Dakota for a couple of tournaments. The first will be the Marauder Invitational hosted by the University of Mary at the Hawktree Golf Club in Bismarck (9/28 & 9/29). The next tournament will be up in Minot at the Minot State Invitational played at the Beowulf Golf Club (10/5 & 10/6).
 
The final fall event will be the University of Sioux Falls Invitational at the Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort just south of the South Dakota border in Larchwood, Iowa.
 
The 2026-27 NSIC Women's Golf Championship will take place at Adams Pointe Golf Complex in Blue Springs, Mo. from April 16-18 while the NSIC Men's Golf Championship will be at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Mo. on April 20-23. The rest of the Jimmie men's and women's golf spring schedules are still to be determined.
