Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has released its 2026-27 Men's Golf preseason poll. The Jimmies were selected to finish in 11^th place.

UJ finished in 10^th place at the NSIC championships last season in what was their first year as an NCAA Division II institution. Jimmie alumnus Ben Walker will take the reins of the program as the new head coach as the Jimmies look to make a statement in the NSIC.
 
"With this being my first season with Jamestown, I am excited to get started with the team," Walker said.
 
Senior Cole Campbell was named Jamestown's Student-Athlete to Watch for the 2026-27 season. Campbell, a local product out to Oxbow, N.D., keeps himself busy throughout the school year as he is a member of both the cross-country and track and field teams at UJ in addition to golf. Campbell finished the 2025-26 season with a stroke average of 79.9. His best performance was at the Maraduers Invitational where he shot a round of 152 (+8), finishing in a tie for 21^st place out of 80 golfers.
 
"Cole, who also participates in cross country and track, is the textbook definition of what 'student athlete' is," Walker said about Campbell. "He is a proven leader and has coming off a great summer of tournaments."
 
Jamestown is set to open their 2026 fall season on September 14 and 15 at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl over in Hudson, Wis.
