Hudson, Wis. – The University of Jamestown men's golf team began their season at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl Monday at the Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis. After the first day of the two-day tournament, the Jimmies are in 9^th place out of the 12 competing teams.
 
Noah Law was the top UJ finisher, carding a round of 76 (+5) to finish in a share of 18^th place out of a field of 68 golfers. The sophomore had a birdie, 12 pars, four bogeys, and a double bogey.
 
Bodie Williams was just one stroke behind, shooting 77 (+6) in a tie for 25^th place heading into Day 2. Williams had 12 pars and six bogeys.
 
Rounding out the Jimmie scorers were Porter Seidel with 78 (+7) and Gavin Kinsey at 81 (+10). Nathan Hoogsteen also participated in his first collegiate tournament with the Thunder Bay, Ontario native carding a round of 83 (+12).
 
Brennan Weckwerth out of Concordia University St. Paul is the only golfer under par at 70 (-1) as he heads into Day 2 with a two-stroke lead over the rest of the pack. CSP is in a tie with the University of Mary for the team lead, both posting a score of 296 (+12). Minnesota State University is in third at 303 (+19).
