Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has released its 2026-27 Women's Golf preseason poll. The Jimmies were selected to finish in 12^th place out of 14 teams in the NSIC conference.

In their first season as members of the NSIC last year, UJ finished in 10^th place out of 13 teams. Ben Walker, a Jimmie alumnus, takes over as the new head coach as the Jimmies look to make a leap in the conference.  
 
"I can't wait to get started with the team and start building a winning culture at UJ!," Walker said.
 
Junior Kacie Rexin has been named the Jamestown Student-Athlete to Watch in lieu of the upcoming season. The native of Sykeston, N.D., opened the 2025-26 season with a third-place finish at the Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament shooting 164 (+20) over the two days. Later in the fall season, Rexin finished in a tie for first place at the Marauder Invitation with a score of 157 (+13), helping Jamestown win the team title in the process. UJ won their next tournament as well, the Comets Invitational, with Rexin carding a career-best 150 (+6) to claim sole possession of the individual title by five strokes. At the NSIC Championships, the junior placed second on the team, and 31^st overall with score of 249 (+33). She finished the season with a solid stroke average of 82.3.
 
"Kacie is coming off of a great season where she had two wins and three top-3 finishes," Walker noted.
 
Jamestown's will begin the fall portion of the season on Monday, September 14 at the two-day MSU/CSP Fall Brawl in Hudson, Wis.
