Hudson, Wis. – The University of Jamestown women's golf started their 2026 fall season at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl at the Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson, Wis. After the first round of play, the Jimmies are in 11
th place.
Celi Nelson paced the Jimmies with a round of 83 (+12) consisting of nine pars, seven bogeys, a double bogey, and a triple bogey. Nelson sits in a tie for 27
th place in a field of 76 golfers.
Three strokes behind Nelson was
Kacie Rexin. The junior shot 86 (+15) and had a birdie on 3-par hole eight, finishing the first day in a tie for 81
st place.
The other three Jamestown participants were
Ellie Garavaglia at 87 (+16) and
Lyla McCasson and
Mylee Michel, both at 99 (+28).
Addi Wood of Concordia University St. Paul and Molly Goc from Wayne State College both sit atop the podium at 76 (+5) halfway through the tournament. A pair of Division-III schools are at the front of the team leaderboard with the University of Wisconsin Stout and St. Catherine's University each posting a score of 319 (+35). CSP is right behind both of them at 323 (+39).
The Jimmies will have day two of the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl tomorrow, September 15.
