Jamestown, N.D. - The University of Jamestown men's basketball team is excited to announce the signing of seven student-athletes for the 2026-27 season. Lincoln Cantrall (Altoona, Iowa), Ezra Cunningham (St. Paul, Minn.), Wylee Delorme (Devils Lake, N.D.) Tristan Hanson (Lino Lakes, Minn.), Brandon Hymes (El Paso, Texas), Marcus Lawson (Las Vegas, Nev.), and Pablo Rodriguez (Chicago, Ill.) will join the Jimmies' roster for the 2026-2027 season.
 
"We are thrilled to be adding seven exceptional student-athletes to our men's basketball family," said head coach Casey Bruggeman. "All embody the type of character, leadership, and competitiveness we desire in our program. I would like to thank our recruiting coordinator and head assistant coach Tath Dak for his efforts in recruiting these student-athletes. I would also like to thank our second assistant Nate Symens, the UJ admissions team, our Jimmie faculty and staff, and other athletic department members who aided in the recruitment of these student-athletes. Lincoln Cantrall
Forward, 6'9, Colorado Christian University / Altoona, Iowa

Why UJ?: "I picked UJ because when I visited, I could tell that the community was super involved with the school and the sports. Also, because I could tell how much the coaches cared about the guys in the program and didn't just see them as basketball players. This is also a place where the team seems super close and where I think we could do something super special as a program." – Lincoln Cantrall

Get to know Lincoln: Lincoln joins UJ after spending the last two seasons at Colorado Christian University. During his time there, he averaged 3.0 PPG and 2.0 RPG while shooting 41% from the three-point line.

Before making his way to the college level, Lincoln graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 2023, where he finished as one of the best shooters in the state for his class. He then spent a year at Link Year Prep, helping lead his team to 23 wins.

He is the son of Chad and Rebecca "Becca" Cantrall. Lincoln plans to major in Exercise Science/Pre-PT at the University of Jamestown.

Coach Bruggeman on Lincoln: "Lincoln possesses great positional size and has the ability to shoot the ball at a high-level.  What stood out most in the recruiting process was the alignment between his personal values and our program values in addition to what he brings to the team on the court. Lincoln brings two years of NCAA D2 experience to our program, and we are so excited to have him be a part of the Jimmie Family."
 
Ezra Cunningham
Wing, 6'5, St. Paul Academy (Minn.) / St. Paul, Minn.
 
Why UJ?: "I chose Jamestown because of the community that welcomed me. Coach CB, TD, & Symens all care about the growth of me as a player and person. As an incoming freshman, meeting my teammates was amazing and they were super welcoming." – Ezra Cunningham
 
Get to know Ezra: Ezra joins UJ following a storied career at St. Paul Academy in Minnesota, where he concluded his high school career as one of the best players in program history. He finished his time ranked 2nd in wins all-time, 5th in points all-time (surpassed 1,000 career points), 2nd in rebounds all-time, and was a two-time IMAC All-Conference selection. Ezra was also the recipient of the prestigious Winfield Award, which is given to a student-athlete who demonstrates excellence in academics, athletics, and community service.
 
During his senior season, Ezra averaged 22.2 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 3.4 APG. He was a key piece in St. Paul Academy's turnaround, helping the team double its win total from the previous season and finish with 20 wins.
 
He is the son of Jill Knudsen and Patrick Cunningham. Ezra plans to major in Business Administration: Marketing with a minor in Sports Communications at the University of Jamestown.
 
Coach Bruggeman on Ezra: "Ezra is a versatile wing who impacts winning on both sides of the ball.  What stood out most in the recruiting process was Ezra's feel for the game and strong track record of leadership. We are so excited to have him be a part of the Jimmie Family."
 
Wylee Delorme
Wing, 6'5, University of North Dakota / Devils Lake, N.D.

Why UJ?: "I chose UJ because of the coaching staff. Through two seasons these guys have created a strong foundation. As a player I want to continue to grow on and off the court, which is ultimately why I chose to come to Jamestown. I truly think that this program will maximize my full potential! One of my best friends, Turo Moni, is currently on the team as well, which is another factor in me coming to UJ." – Wylee Delorme

Get to know Wylee: Wylee joins UJ after competing at both the NCAA Division II and Division I levels. He began his collegiate career at the University of Mary, where he appeared in 21 games as a freshman and averaged 6.3 PPG. He scored in double figures in five games, including a breakout performance against Minnesota State-Moorhead where he dropped 32 points.

Wylee then transferred to the Division I level and played at the University of North Dakota this past season. He appeared in 20 games off the bench and recorded a season-high 12 points against South Dakota State.

He is the son of Waylon Delorme and Nichole Marsaa and the stepson of Josh Marsaa and Breanna Delorme. Wylee will be majoring in Business Administration at the University of Jamestown.

Coach Bruggeman on Wylee: "Wylee is an experienced wing who has high-volume scoring ability and above-the-rim athleticism. What stood out most in the recruiting process was Wylee's motor and willingness to make winning plays. Wylee brings NCAA D1 and D2 experience to our program and we are so excited to have him be a part of the Jimmie Family."
 
Tristan Hanson
Wing, 6'5, Centennial HS (Minn.) / Lino Lakes, Minn.

Why UJ?: "The reason I chose Jamestown is because I loved the coaches and players I talked to. I also loved the culture and team that they are trying to create! I loved the campus and everyone that I met there was super nice. I have only heard great things about Jamestown from everyone I have talked to about it, and I am super excited to be a Jimmie!" – Tristan Hanson

Get to know Tristan: Tristan joins UJ following a phenomenal prep career at Centennial High School in Minnesota. As a junior, he averaged 15.4 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 1.3 APG while knocking down 28 three-pointers. His strong season earned him NWSC All-Conference honors.

Tristan took another step forward as a senior, averaging 16.0 PPG, 9.0 RPG, and 2.0 APG while making 48 three-pointers. He earned another NWSC All-Conference selection and was named Academic All-State. He was also voted his team's Defensive Player of the Year and MVP.

He finished his career with more than 1,000 points and 500 rebounds and became Centennial's all-time leader in blocks. Tristan is the son of Jon and Becky Hanson, and he plans to major in Business Administration on a Pre-Law track at the University of Jamestown.

Coach Bruggeman on Tristan: "Tristan is a strong wing who rebounds the ball at a high-level and has a knack for making plays on both sides of the ball.  What stood out most in the recruiting process was Tristan's production at the 4A level in Minnesota and his fun personality. We are so excited to have him be a part of the Jimmie Family."
 
Brandon Hymes
Guard, 6'3, Dawson Community College (Mont.) / El Paso, Texas

Why UJ?: "I chose UJ because when I spoke to Coach Bruggeman, we sat down and just talked about life. That's when I knew it was more than basketball with them. I'm excited to get to play for a coach who not only wants me to be the best player I can be, but more importantly, the best young man I can be! How could I deny playing for someone like that? Someone who's going to challenge me and hold high standards for me on and off the floor? From the brotherhood and energy I felt from my visit, to the consistent phone calls with the coaching staff, everything felt like God had me where I needed to be." – Brandon Hymes

Get to know Brandon: Brandon joins UJ as a junior college transfer after making his mark at Dawson Community College. As a freshman, he averaged 9.0 PPG, 3.4 RPG, and 2.7 APG while helping lead Dawson to a Mon-Dak Conference and Region XIII Championship.

He followed that up with an even bigger sophomore campaign. Last season, Brandon averaged 13.0 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 2.2 APG while leading Dawson CC to back-to-back Conference and Regional titles. His outstanding season earned him First Team All-Conference honors and Region Tournament MVP recognition. He also led his team in six different statistical categories.

He is the son of Angelica Brito, and Brandon plans to major in Sports Communication at the University of Jamestown.

Coach Bruggeman on Brandon: "Brandon is a downhill guard who can facilitate an offense and has the capability of being an elite on-ball defender. What stood out most in the recruiting process was his toughness and willingness to be a positive leader for his team.  Brandon brings two years of college basketball experience to our team, and we are so excited to have him be a part of the Jimmie Family."
 
Marcus Lawson
Wing, 6'5, Providence College (Mont.) / Las Vegas, Nev.

Why UJ?: "I chose UJ because it felt like home from the start. The coaches were incredibly welcoming, took the time to really get to know me, and made me feel comfortable throughout the recruiting process. I believe it's the best place for me to grow, not only as a basketball player but also as a person." – Marcus Lawson

Get to know Marcus: Marcus joins UJ after first making his mark at South Puget Sound Community College in Washington. During his two seasons there, he averaged 11.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, and 1.1 APG. In 2024-25, he helped lead South Puget Sound to 25 wins and a share of the Regional Title. The team also made the deepest postseason run in school history, advancing to the NWAC Final Four. His strong play earned him NWAC West Region Second Team honors.

After finishing his career at South Puget Sound CC, Marcus continued his collegiate career at the University of Providence in Montana. This past season, he averaged 12.0 PPG, 3.4 RPG, and 1.0 APG.

He is the son of Marcus Lawson and Letisha Gillett, and he plans to major in Business at the University of Jamestown!

What stood out most in the recruiting process was Marcus's ability to score the basketball and his respect toward our coaching staff.  Marcus brings three years of college basketball experience to our team, and we are so excited to have him be a part of the Jimmie Family."
 
Pablo Rodriguez
Forward, 6'8, SFA Academy (Fla.) / Chicago, Ill.

Why UJ?: "I chose UJ because of the endless support from the coaches. From my very first conversation with Coach Bruggeman and Coach Dak, I felt genuinely wanted and valued. That is something that made UJ feel like home right from the start! The first day stepping on campus on my visit only confirmed to me how special this place is." – Pablo Rodriguez

Get to know Pablo: Pablo joins UJ following a standout prep career at SFA Academy in Florida. During his senior season, he competed on the "Grind Session", one of the elite prep basketball circuits in the country. He averaged 18.0 PPG, 8.0 RPG, and 4.0 APG while scoring more than 30 points in six different games. He also reached 1,000 career points.

Before spending his senior year at SFA Academy, Pablo played his junior season at Little Village High School in Chicago. He averaged 10.0 PPG, 10.0 RPG, and 1.0 APG while shooting 50% from the field and 39% from three-point range.

He is the son of Pablo Rodriguez and Maria Irene Rodriguez, and Pablo plans to major in Kinesiology at the University of Jamestown.

These seven student-athletes will join Jimmie Commits, Reggie Parker (Rochester, Minn.) and Colton Reinke (Fargo, N.D.) to make up the 2026 recruiting class.

UJ's season is set to begin on Tuesday, November 17 at home against Oak Hills Christian College.
