Men's track and field places third at Al Bortke Open

Bismarck, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's track and field team competed at the Al Bortke Open in Bismarck, North Dakota, on Sunday. The men took third place of nine teams and recorded 17 personal records and five season bests.
FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS

Dylan Frusciante placed sixth in the 110-meter Hurdles with a time of 19.28 to earn three points.
Clark Lortscher placed third in the 800 meters with a personal best time of 1:59.88, good for six team points. Cole Campbell placed fifth with 2:02.22 to add four points, and Kadin Marshall followed in seventh with a time of 2:06.73 for two more points.
Lucas Dahl placed second in the 1500 meter with a personal best time of 4:21.66 to earn eight points. He also competed in the 800 meters and finished in 2:09.97.
Connor Knatterud, Xander Rath, Trevor Waldo, and Avery Ligon placed fourth in the 4x100 meter relay, finishing with a time of 43.55 to earn six points.
Avery Ligon ran 11.34 in the 100-meter dash and earned a personal best of 23.27 in the 200-meter.
Cael Church ran personal bests of 23.61 in the 200 meters and 51.74 in the 400 meters.
Connor Knatterud ran a time of 11.52 in the 100-meter dash.

FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS

Evan Schmit placed fifth in the Discus with a personal best of 42.17, Samuel Reiland followed in seventh with a personal best of 42.05m, and Kobe Irmen placed eighth with a personal best of 39.83m. They earned a collective six points.
Dawson Sedivec placed second in the Hammer Throw with a season-best 55.20m to earn eight points. Victor Ramos added three points with his 47.77m throw and sixth-place finish.
Ethan Duval placed second with a personal best of 1.94m in the High Jump to earn eight points, Riley Johnson placed sixth with a personal best of 1.89m to add three points, and Ethan Lieb reached a personal best of 1.84m. Dylan Frusciante also competed and jumped 1.84m
Kobe Irmen earned two points with his seventh-place finish in the Javelin Throw at a personal best of 47.94m. Brenden Palmer also set a personal best at 44.77m. Thomas Drago threw 38.74m, and Charles Eaton marked 26.75m.
Ashton Judge placed third at 6.70m in the Long Jump for six points, and Kaden Jensen followed in fourth place at 6.60m to add five points. Trevor Waldo marked 6.22m, and Jayden Bittner had a personal best jump of 5.84m.
Jobe Rystedt threw a personal best 14.52m to place fifth in the Shot Put, and Ethan Halverson threw a season-best 13.93m to place eighth for a total of five points. Evan Schmit also competed and threw 13.37m.
Evan Schmit, Jobe Rystedt, Samuel Reiland, and Kobe Irmen threw personal bests of 43.63m, 42.52m, 42.03m, and 33.61m in the Hammer Throw. Dilon Filler marked 33.68m, Shane Schnurr marked a season-best 37.43m, and Ethan Halverson marked 33.82m.
