UJ Track & Field - Overnight Horizontal Jumps Camp
JOIN THE JIMMIES FOR A 3-DAY HORIZONTAL JUMPS LEARNING EXPERIENCE!
Get ready for 3 days of fun, learning, and competition at the University of Jamestown Horizontal Jumps Overnight Camp! Our camp is built for athletes in grades 9-12 to help build their skills and knowledge of the horizontal jumping events! Learn from our own student athletes and from our horizontal jumps coach, the NDSU Long Jump school record holder!
What to Expect:
· Film sessions – Looking at the world’s best jumpers and breaking down what they do well!
· Learning how to sprint – The CORRECT way!
· Learning the fundamentals of long jump and triple jump!
· Competing in a Jump-Off on Friday!
· Games and activities after dinner!
Athletes of all skill levels from grades 9-12 are welcome! No matter our skill level, we are all here to get better! Sign up now and let’s get to work!
We offer an overnight camp as well as a commuter camp. The overnight camp will be staying in the dorms, getting 3 meals a day, and will have chaperones in the dorms. The commuters will be staying wherever they can, at home, a hotel with family, etc. They will only receive lunches; they are responsible for their own breakfasts and dinners.
Everyone registered will be sent an itinerary prior to the start of camp via email! Check-in will be 10am-11:30am on July 9th, Pick-up/Dismissal will be at 4pm on July 11th.

What to bring as an overnight camper?
Appropriate work-out gear for three days (tennis shoes, spikes, water bottle, etc.), toiletries, pillow, blanket, linens (beds are twin XL) and towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand soap, shower soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Campers are allowed to bring their own snacks and drinks to keep in their rooms. LINENS ARE NOT PROVIDED.
What to bring as a commuter?
Appropriate work-out gear (tennis shoes, spikes, water bottle, etc.).
