Men's track and field competes in Minneapolis at the Gary Wilson Invitational

Minneapolis, M.N. – The University of Jamestown men's track and field team competed in the Gary Wilson Invitational at the University of Minnesota on Wednesday.

FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS

Avery Ligon competed in the 100-meter dash and finished in 11.01.
Cael Church represented the Jimmies in the 400 meters and ran a time of 51.57.
Clark Lortscher and Cole Campbell ran the 5000 meters. Lortscher set a personal record time of 15:23.63 to place 10^th, and Campbell finished with a time of 15:53.38.

FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS

Tyler Dean led the Jimmies in the Discus Throw, placing fifth with his mark of 44.53m. Samuel Reiland, Ethan Halverson, and Evan Schmit also threw the discus and marked 41.19m, 38.87m, and 35.88m, respectively.
Victor Ramos was the sole competitor for the Jimmies in the Hammer Throw and marked 51.95m, good for ninth place.
Thomas Drago took third place in the Javelin Throw with a personal best of 47.45m, and Brenden Palmer followed in fourth place at 45.03m.
Ashton Judge took 10^th in the Long Jump at 6.63m. Kaden Jensen, Jayden Bittner, and Trevor Waldo also competed, marking 6.38m, 6.17m, and 6.14m, respectively. Bittner's mark was a season-best.
Evan Schmit marked a season-best of 14.45m in the Shot Put, as did Ethan Halverson at 14.41m. Jobe Rystedt also competed and threw 13.43m.
Jayden Bittner competed in the Triple Jump and marked 12.29m, another season best.

The men compete tomorrow, April 25^th, at the Bison Open in Fargo, North Dakota.
