Men's track and field host Al Cassell Classic

Jamestown, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's track and field team competed at the Al Cassell Classic in Jamestown, North Dakota on Saturday.  

FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS
  • Avery Ligon placed third in the 100 meters with a personal best time of 11.16, and Cael Church took ninth with a personal best time of 11.75. Ligon and Church also recorded bests in the 200 meters. Ligon placed fourth at 22.79, and Church placed seventh at 23.49. 
  • Kadin Marshall placed second in the 800 meters with a personal best time of 2:04.02, and Samuel Sampers placed sixth with a personal best of 2:06.99. 
FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS
  • Ethan Lieb and Riley Johnson both jumped 1.80m in the High Jump to place fifth and sixth. 
  • Ashton Judge placed second in the Long Jump with a personal best mark of 6.88m, Trevor Waldo placed fifth with a mark of 6.50m, Kaden Jensen placed sixth with a mark of 6.45m, and Jayden Bittner placed 10th with a personal best of 6.14m. 
  • Bittner also competed in the Triple Jump and marked 11.99m. 
  • Evan Schmit, Ethan Halverson, Jobe Rystedt, Dawson Sedivec, Tyler Dean, Samuel Reiland, and Victor Ramos competed in the Shot Put. Schmit placed second at 14.30m, Halverson placed third at 14.23m, Rystedt placed fourth at 13.96m, Sedivec placed fifth at 13.80m, Dean placed seventh at 13.51m, Reiland placed ninth at 11.84m, and Ramos marked 10.90m. 
  • Dean placed first in the Discus with a mark of 45.71m, Reiland placed second at 44.45m, Sedivec placed third at 44.40m, Halverson placed fourth with a personal best of 42.31m, Kobe Irmen placed fifth at 40.66m, Shane Schnurr placed sixth at 38.43m, and Schmit placed seventh at 38.35m.
  • Sedivec took first place in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 58.02m, Ramos placed second with a personal best of 52.54m, Schmit placed fourth with a personal best of 44.91m, Rystedt took ninth at 39.87m, Irmen took 10th with a personal best of 38.67m, and Halverson marked a personal best of 26.75m. 
  • Irmen took second place in the Javelin with a throw of 47.57m, Thomas Drago placed fourth at 44.34m, Dean took fifth with a personal best of 38.33m, Charles Eaton placed seventh with a personal best of 32.54m, and Ramos marked a personal best of 29.98m.
