BISMARCK, N.D.--  Dawson Sedivec of the Jimmie men's track and field team has been named this week's North Star Athletic Association Field Athlete of the Week.

Sedivec produced the NAIA 'B' provisional qualifying hammer throw mark for Jamestown (N.D.) in their home meet, the Al Cassell Classic.  He threw 58.02 meters (190 feet, 4 inches) to win the hammer throw title.  His hammer throw is the third farthest mark in the NAIA.  Sedivec also threw 44.40 meters (145 feet, 8 inches) to finish third in the discus and 13.80 meters (45 feet, 3.5 inches) to place fifth in the shot put.
