Men's track and field competes at NDSU Spring Invitational

Fargo, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's track and field team competed at the NDSU Spring Invitational on Friday. The men recorded nine personal records and six season bests. 
FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS
  • Avery Ligon and Connor Knatterud competed in the 100 meters and ran 11.20 and 11.76, respectively. Ligon also ran the 200 meters and finished in 23.33. 
  • Dylan Frusciante placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.53.
  • Cael Church recorded a personal best of 51.28 in the 400 meters. He also earned a personal best of 58.47 in the 400-meter hurdles. 
  • Kadin Marshall and Samuel Sampers both recorded personal bests in the 1500 meters. Marshall ran a 4:32.16, and Sampers ran a 4:37.08. 
  • Cole Campbell placed fifth in the 3000-meter steeple with a time of 10:02.28, Clark Lortscher followed in sixth with a time of 10:04.04, and Lucas Dahl placed 10th with a time of 10:47.15.
FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS
  • Dawson Sedivec placed eighth in the Discus with a season-best throw of 44.17m, and Samuel Reiland placed ninth with a 43.10m throw – also a season best. 
  • Evan Schmit, Kobe Irmen, and Shane Schnurr also competed in the Discus with the respective distances of 41.56m, 40.81m, and 40.35m. Irmen's throw was a personal best, and Schnurr's was a season best.
  • Sedivec threw a season-best of 56.54m in the Hammer Throw to place second.
  • Victor Ramos, Reiland, Schmit, Jobe Rystedt, and Dilon Filler also competed in the Hammer Throw and threw distances of 45.96m, 42.31m, 41.41m, 39.15m, and 36.24m, respectively. Reiland and Filler's marks were personal bests. 
  • Ethan Duval and Riley Johnson tied for eighth in the High Jump with marks of 1.87m.
  • Irmen, Brenden Palmer, and Thomas Drago threw the Javelin. Their respective distances were 46.63m, 45.98m, and 45.21m. 
  • Ashton Judge placed sixth in the Long Jump with a personal best of 6.84m. Trevor Waldo had a season-best jump of 6.30m, and Jayden Bittner marked a personal best of 6.10m. Bittner also competed in the Triple Jump and marked 12.04m
  • Schmit and Rystedt threw the Shot Put, marking 13.29m and 12.77m, respectively.
  • The men's 4x100 meter relay (Knatterud, Rath, Church, and Ligon) placed fourth with a season-best time of 43.02.
