KANSAS CITY, Mo.--
Kate Cordes from the University of Jamestown women's basketball team was named third team All-American, the national office announced Monday.
Cordes, who was a first-team North Star Athletic Association selection, averaged 19.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game for the Jimmies in 2024-25. She finished the season with 587 points and moved from 47th to 12th place on Jamestown's all-time scoring list.Â
Cordes led the Jimmies in minutes played (989), field goals (205), three-point field goals (90), three-point field goal percentage (.415), free throws made (87), free throws attempted (92), free throw percentage (.946), rebounds (143), and assists (99). She had a career-high 36 points against Dickinson State (N.D.) on February 26 and reached double digit point totals in 28 of her 30 games played.
Jamestown finished the season with a record of 19-11 and received an at-large bid to the NAIA Women's Basketball Opening Round.Â
