FOREST CITY, Iowa-- The Jimmie softball team recorded a pair of victories Sunday, 6-3 over Waldorf University and 5-0 over Presentation College. The wins give Jamestown an overall record of 24-7 and a 9-2 record in North Star Athletic Association conference play.

Hanna Dunnigan (JR/Regina, SK, Canada) had nine strikeouts to take over the top spot on the Jimmies' career list, and Jamestown hit four home runs in Sunday's opening game.
Waldorf opened the scoring in the bottom of the first on Jessica Abrahamson's two-run single.
Jamestown answered with a run in the top of the second as Dunnigan scored from third on an error.
Kaitlin Murphy's RBI double gave the Warriors a 3-1 in the bottom of the third.
The Jimmies took the lead with a three-run fifth inning. Emma Keller (SO/Poulsbo, WA) led off with an inside-the-park home run and Autumn Wang (SR/Devils Lake, ND) later connected on a two-run shot.
Two more solo home runs in the sixth inning gave the Jimmie some insurance. Dunnigan led off the inning with a towering blast to center field, then with one out, Brook Rheault (SR/West Fargo, ND) blasted her first career home run.
Sydney Jeffers (SR/Richmond, BC, Canada), Emily Newman (SR/Victoria, BC, Canada), Dunnigan, and Keller paced the 11-hit UJ attack with two hits each.
Dunnigan (9-3) earned the win with her eighth complete game of the season. She allowed three runs on eight hits and walked four.
Jamestown 5, Presentation 0
UJ concluded its weekend with a 5-0 win over the Saints. Brittany Rheault (SO/West Fargo, ND) (10-3) went the distance for Jamestown, tossing her 10th complete game and third shutout. She allowed four hits, walked three and struck out nine.
Jamestown got all the runs they would need in the top of the first. Emily Newman doubled to score Rylee Perez (SR/Indio, CA), then would later score on a steal of home to put the Jimmies up 2-0.
Autumn Wang homered in the third inning to give Jamestown a 3-0 lead, A bases-loaded walk to Kalea Chapman (SR/Juneau, AK) and an RBI single by Kaitlyn Combo (FR/Yuba City, CA) accounted for the final two runs in the sixth.
The Jimmies managed just six hits in the game. Newman finished 2 for 4 with a run scored and one RBI.
Jamestown hosts Bellevue on Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 pm.
