University of Jamestown head men's soccer coach Tommy Nienhaus announces Austin Kovach, Bemidji, Minn., will join the team beginning in the 2014 season.

Kovach was a first team All-Conference selection for Bemidji High School and as a club player was MVP for his U14, U16, and U19 teams.

"Austin is a transfer student with a quiet yet refined game and is very comfortable and calm under pressure," Nienhaus says. "He gives us another dimension with his left foot. Austin plays simple and reads the game well."

Kovach plans to major in biology/pre-chiropractic.

He is the son of John and Jen Kovach.
