ST. BONIFACIUS, MN – The University of Jamestown men's soccer team delivered a strong offensive showing this season with a dominant 8–1 road victory over Crown College on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Old National Bank Stadium in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota. The Jimmies controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting Crown 20–2 overall and holding a 14–1 margin in shots on goal, while converting at a highly efficient rate in the attacking third.
Jamestown wasted no time setting the tone as Elias Werner capitalized in the 10th minute with an unassisted finish to give the Jimmies early momentum. Just over ten minutes later, Jake Simson doubled the lead with a composed strike off an assist from Werner, sending Jamestown into halftime with a 2–0 advantage after shutting down nearly all of Crown's forward possession. The Jimmies disciplined defense and composed midfield play kept Crown off balance, allowing almost no opportunities on goal during the opening 45 minutes.
The second half featured an offensive surge from Jamestown, beginning immediately as Mats Buelters found the net less than a minute into the restart. From there, the Jimmies attack became relentless. Joshua Jackson scored in the 50th minute off a setup from Simson, who then added his second goal of the match just over ten minutes later. Jamestown continued to rotate attackers effectively, and Kael Calder struck in the 75th minute on an assist from Tom Nicholls, followed moments later by a goal from Amery Roberts to push the lead further out of reach.
Crown managed to get on the board in the 84th minute, as Omar Navarro scored off an assist from Jude McVety, but Jamestown responded immediately, Nicholls converted just two minutes later to secure the commanding 8–1 final. The Jimmies' depth was on full display as multiple players off the bench contributed to the flow of play on both sides of the ball.
Goalkeeper Dawid Chrobot played the full 90 minutes to earn the win, anchoring a disciplined defensive unit that held Crown to just one shot on target all match. Jamestown received strong minutes throughout the midfield and defensive lines from contributors including Justin Junaid, Conner Warren, and Felipe Costa, whose collective work rate helped Jamestown maintain its grip on tempo and territory. Crown utilised both Isaac Foss and Mateo Navarro in goal, but neither could offset Jamestown's sustained attacking pressure.
