MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce the 2013-14 Women's Basketball All-Conference selections and postseason awards.
Mayville State (N.D.) and Jamestown (N.D.) shared the first-ever North Star Athletic Association Women's Basketball regular-season title with a 7-1 conference record. The Comets won the NSAA Women's Basketball Postseason Conference Tournament Championships with an 82-73 victory over the Jimmies. Dennis Hutter of Mayville State was voted as NSAA Coach-of-the-Year.
Marcisa McMillian of Mayville State was selected as the NSAA Women's Basketball Most Valuable Player-of-the-Year. Hannah Steele of Jamestown was named to the Most Valuable Graduating Senior award. Alyson Drooger of Dakota State (S.D.) was awarded as Defensive Player-of-the-Year. Kyra Dewald of Jamestown (N.D.) was named the Newcomer Player-of-the-Year award.
The following athletes were selected by the conference coaches as All-Conference First and Second Teams.
