FREMONT, Neb.-- The University of Jamestown ACHA Women's Division 1 hockey team opened its 2025–26 season on the road Thursday afternoon, falling to Midland University by a score of 6–0 at Sidner Ice Arena.
Midland struck first with a power-play goal by Callie Maguire at 8:03 of the first period. Jaicee Huberdeau then added a second goal late in the frame to give the Warriors a 2–0 lead into intermission. Midland continued to build their lead with two goals in the second, including Maguire's second of the game. The Warriors added two more in the third and went on to outshoot the Jimmies 53-13 overall.
Jamestown goaltender Lilah Drew made 44 saves on 50 shots in 52:59 of ice time, while Maddie Sylvestre stopped all three shots she faced over the final 7:01.
The two teams return to the ice on Friday with puck drop set for 2:00 p.m.
