SIOUX CENTER, Iowa -- The University of Jamestown women's cross country team turned in a solid performance on Saturday, placing sixth out of 17 teams in the Gold Division at the Dordt University Holiday Inn Express Classic. The Jimmies finished with a team score of 235.

Lydia Franson led the way for Jamestown, finishing 21st overall in a field of 150 runners. Franson set a personal record, completing the 6k course in 21:58.88. Every Jimmie runner who competed in the event set a new personal best.

Minnesota State University won the meet with a team score of 28. Grace Steinmetz of Bellevue (Neb.) was the top finisher with a time of 20:40.39.
