Jamestown, N.D. – The University of Jamestown men's basketball team tagged on a sixth conference win after a Saturday matchup with the Valley City State Vikings.
Jimmy Llinas earned his second double-double on the weekend with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Owen Hektner added 13 points, and
Carson Woodford led in rebounds with 11.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies took an early lead of 8-0 against the Vikings and widened their point advantage to double figures six minutes into play.
- The Jimmie defense worked to keep the Vikings off the board and doubled their lead to 20 points with a last-second three from Anthony Walters to end the half up 44-24.
- The Vikings could not come back from their first-half deficit, only getting within 17 points of the Jimmies the entirety of the second half. The Jimmies largest lead of 23 points came with 5:36 on the play clock.
- Spencer Barr scored the last four points for the Jimmies as they came out on top 72-47 to complete their two-game weekend with two victories.
- The Jimmies had 12 steals as a team, three from Silas Bennion, and scored 17 points off 17 Viking turnovers.
- Hektner, Bennion, Will Cordes, and Cole Glasgow each had three assists.
