The Red Raiders won 12-3 in five innings in the opener and finished the sweep with a 2-0 win in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Jimmies scored three runs, all with two outs, in the bottom of the first for a 3-0 lead.

  • One inning later the Red Raiders extended their lead to 12-3, adding four more runs on a pair of hits, another Jimmie error, and a wild pitch.
  • Jamestown had five hits in the game, but just two after the first inning.

GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

  • UJ's bats were held in check in a 2-0 loss, with Trinity Gregg, Mackenzie Lefebvre, and Ally Battistoni each singling to account for the three Jimmie hits.
  • NWC's first run came in the top of the third as the inning was extended by a Jimmie error that put runners on the corners, setting the table for a two-out single and a 1-0 lead.
  • The second Red Raider run came in the top of the fifth on an RBI single scoring a runner who had reached via error earlier in the inning.
  • Jamestown had runners at first and second with only one out in the bottom of the fifth, but the next two batters were retired to end the threat.
  • Abby Blair (7-5) allowed a pair of unearned runs on six hits in seven innings with six strikeouts, lowering her season ERA to 1.13.
