MINOT, N.D.—It was déjà vu all over again for the 11th-ranked University of Jamestown women's hockey team, as they scored first in Saturday's matchup at No. 4 Minot State University, only to see the Beavers put home the final three goals as MSU defeated the Jimmies 3-1 in UJ's final regular season game of 2023-24.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• With her team-leading 11^th goal of the season, Crystal Wale put the Jimmies ahead 1-0 just 1:26 into the contest. Assisting on Wale's goal was Alyssa Lingen, who recorded her fifth helper of the year.
• Minot State found the equalizer on Makena Welby's goal at 4:51 of the first, assisted by Aspen Cooper and Kaitlyn Snyder.
• Welby gave the Beavers a 2-1 lead with her second of the game, coming at 2:09 of the second period. Grace Perry was credited with the assist.
• Gillian Gervin added to the MSU lead with a power play goal at 18:52 of the second on assists by Paige Kozak and Anna German, making it 3-1 going into the third.
• Jamestown was held to three shots in each of the first and third periods, and had four shots in the second as MSU outshot them 32-10.
• Makenzie Gibson made 29 saves in goal for UJ.
