The sixth-ranked University of Jamestown men's hockey team claimed the regular season Midwest College Hockey championship as they finished off a weekend sweep of No. 9 University of Mary in their home-and-home series, defeating the Marauders 3-1 Saturday evening at John L. Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UMary got the game's first goal, as Isaiah Thomas took a feed from Tanner Eskro and made it 1-0 at 5:58 of the opening period.
- Jamestown responded with the next three goals, starting with Jordan Baranesky's equalizer at 16:06 of the first. Morgan Venne and Matthew Poole got the assists.
- Alek Erichuk put UJ in front with his power play goal at 11:58 of the second. His fifth of the year came from Greg Susinski and Reid Wilson.
- With 3:01 left before the second intermission, Jordon Kromm notched his 14th of the campaign, assisted by Logan Berggren and Justin Dumont.
- The third period was scoreless, with each team having one power play opportunity but unable to convert.
- UMary was 0-for-3 and the Jimmies 1-for-6 with the man advantage.
- Shots were 43-31 in favor of Jamestown. Brandon Weare had 30 saves for UJ.
