HOW IT HAPPENED
- Set One (25-23)
The Jimmies rallied from 22-20 to take the opener. A service error by the Bobcats and kill by Caydann Cox tied the score, but the Jimmies made an attack error on the next play and UC Merced retook the lead. - Set Two (25-15)
Jamestown outhit UC Merced .318 to .000 to take a 2-0 match lead. The Jimmies opened on an 8-2 run, but the Bobcats continued to hang around. - Set Three (26-24)
The Jimmies had to work hard to complete the sweep. After taking the first point, Jamestown did not retake the lead until an attack error by UC Merced made it 22-21. Both teams traded points until a Bobcat serving error gave UJ a 25-24 edge, then Swiderski ended the match with a kill.
