JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The 5th-ranked University of Jamestown ACHA Division 1 men's hockey team ended a three-game losing streak Saturday evening with a 3-2 win over No. 14 University of Mary at John L. Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first period, the Jimmies opened the scoring in the second period with a pair of goals.
- Darius Makse put home his 12th of the season at 3:51 on assists from Alek Erichuk and Chase Visser, then Brenden Vulcano's second of the year made it 2-0 at 17:35, assisted by Wyatt Johnson and Brad Fortin.
- The Marauders cut the lead in half with a goal at 2:07 of the third, but Kaelen Shelton answered for UJ with a power play goal at 8:20. His 7th of the year came on assists from Vulcano and Erichuk.
- With 3:24 remaining, UMary got within a goal and later pulled goaltender Marino Ramirez at the 18:45 mark for an extra skater.
- The Jimmies closed out the game with the one-goal victory and a split of their weekend series against the Marauders.
- Brandon Weare made 33 saves for Jamestown while Ramirez had 32 stops.
- Both teams were 1-for-3 on the power play and shots were even at 35.
