JAMESTOWN, N.D. — After taking a 2-0 lead, the 14th-ranked University of Jamestown women's hockey team surrendered three straight goals in a 3-2 overtime loss to No. 4 Midland (Neb.) University Friday evening at John L. Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Jimmies scored the game's first goal at the 4:42 mark of the second period, with Jayden Baker giving UJ a 1-0 lead on an assist by Jaeda Clayton.
- Midland's Sky Thompson was called for cross checking at 11:04 of the second, and Jamestown capitalized on the ensuing power play. Mackenzie Couling made it 2-0 at 11:41 with assists by Kiran Vugteveen and Sam Beaulac.
- The Warriors dominated offensive possession in the third period, outshooting the Jimmies 20-7 and getting a pair of goals by Darbi Poole to tie the game at 2-2.
- Poole's first came on the power play at 7:36, then at 11:35 her second of the game brought Midland level.
- Midland kept firing the puck on net in overtime, putting up six shots to the Jimmies' one. With 46 seconds left, Callie Maguire scored the game winner to send UJ to their seventh loss in their last eight games.
- Kate Galuszka recorded her second straight outing with 36 saves, tying her career best.
