JAMESTOWN, N.D.—Kiran Vugteveen scored twice and three other players had goals as the University of Jamestown women's hockey team defeated University of Minnesota 5-1 Saturday afternoon at John L. Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gaby Schroder's unassisted goal at 4:09 of the first period gave the Jimmies an early 1-0 lead.
- Vugteveen scored on the power play at 17:57 of the first, extending UJ's lead to 2-0. Sam Beaulac and Jaeda Clayton got the assists.
- Chloe Gauthier helped set up Vugteveen's second period goal at 3:25, then added a power play goal of her own at 16:10 with Schroder on the assist.
- The final Jimmie goal came from Jayden Baker, an unassisted tally at 12:43.
- Minnesota ended UJ's shutout bid with Liliana Rohlf's goal with 1:44 left in the game.
- Makenzie Gibson made 18 saves for Jamestown, who outshot the Golden Gophers 30-19.
