The number six ranked University of Jamestown ACHA D1 Men's Hockey team outscored the number one ranked Minot State University at home on Thursday, October 10, to remain undefeated on their season. Brandon Weare's notable 40 saves and the Jimmies five goals secured them a 5-2 win.   

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Brandon Weare saved 14 Beaver attempts in the first period to make the Jimmies the lone scorers with a goal from Carter Johnson assisted by Kaelan Shelton. The Jimmies and Beavers played a friendly first period with zero penalties.
• Colby Joseph responded with a goal for the Beavers 4:35 into the second period to tie the score. Three minutes later, Jordan Baranesky (assists Carter Johnson and Jacob Thomas) executed on the Jimmies first power play of the night due to a Beaver interference call to put them up by one going into the third. 
• The Beavers opened up the third with a power play goal, tying the score again. However, the Beavers lead was short-lived as Jacob Thomas, who served the Jimmie penalty, responded with a goal 26 seconds after leaving the box. Kole Christensson and Matthew Poole were credited with assists. 
• The Jimmies fourth goal came from Brad Fortin (assists Matthew Poole and Jacob Thomas). The Beavers pulled their goalie with two minutes to go, and Kaelan Shelton scored the Jimmies fifth and final goal on the open net.

FOR THE JIMMIES

• The Jimmies had 34 shots on goal. 
• The Jimmies were 2-2 on power plays. 

FOR THE BEAVERS

• The Beavers had 42 shots on goal. 
• The Beavers were 1-2 on power plays.
• Jake Anthony had 29 saves.
