CENTENE, Mo.—Bethany Wielgosh and Kiran Vugteveen each had goals to help lead the 12^th-ranked Jimmie women's hockey team to a 2-1 win over #11 Lindenwood University Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Neither team lit the lamp in the first period as Jimmie goaltender Makenzie Gibson stopped 12 shots and Lindenwood goaltender Evi Allerding made 14 saves.
• Jamestown struck first, as Bethany Wielgosh scored at 13:21 of the second period, with an assist from Crystal Wale and Gaby Schroder. The goal was the fourth of the season for Wielgosh, and the Jimmies held on to a 1-0 lead going into the third period.
• Kiran Vugteveen doubled the UJ lead with her eighth goal of the season, coming at 6:31 of the third period. Schroder and Jayden Baker got the assists.
• Loki Antonio's tenth goal of the year came at 14:01 for Lindenwood and cut the UJ lead to 2-1.
• The Jamestown defense held for the remainder of the game, which included killing off a penalty with 1:33 remaining.
• Gibson finished with 34 saves while improving her record between the pipes to 5-3-0.
