The fourth-ranked Jimmie ACHA Division 1 men's hockey team gave up four unanswered goals and were unable to complete the weekend sweep of McKendree University as the Bearcats won by a score of 4-1 Saturday evening at Harold Newman Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Reid Wilson scored just 51 seconds into the game to give UJ a 1-0 lead. Brad Fortin got the assist, his 18th of the season, on Wilson's 13th goal of the year.
- Jamestown was 0-for-3 on the power play in the first period, and McKendree tied the game with a shorthanded goal on one of those UJ extra-man advantages. Jack Sumner scored at 8:56 of the first to make it 1-1.
- Neither team scored in the second as the Jimmies held a 43-21 shots on goal advantage heading into the third.
- Matias Alexandrov broke the tie with a goal at 12:39 of the third, then Steven Brachert made it 3-1 in favor of the Bearcats with his goal at 14:37.
- Bradley Richardson added an empty net goal at 19:26 to round out the scoring.
FOR THE JIMMIES
- Brandon Weare had 27 saves in goal.
- UJ outshot McKendree 64-31 but were 0-for-5 on the power play after going 2-for-2 the night before.
- It was the first loss at John L. Wilson Arena for Jamestown since falling 3-2 to Illinois State on October 6, ending a six-game home winning streak.
