Box Score 2 ABERDEEN, S.D.-- The Jimmie softball team defeated Presentation College Saturday evening to pick up its first win of the season at the PC Dome.

HOW IT HAPPENED--GAME ONE
- Jamestown struck for four runs in the bottom of the first against MSU-M. Megan Neiles walked with the bases loaded to score Gentrey Turin for the Jimmies' first run, then Sonya Rodgers followed with a two-run single to center.
- Skylar Thorpe drove in the fourth UJ run with a single to right, then advanced to third on a wild pitch.
- The Dragons got one run back in the second, then erupted for six more in the fourth.
- Neiles delivered a two-out single in the bottom of the fifth, bringing home Maddie Spaeth to cut the lead to 7-5.
- Another big inning for MSU-M came in the next half-inning as they tacked on five to build a 12-5 advantage.
- UJ got a couple of runners on base in their final at-bat but managed to push just one more run across the plate as the game ended 12-6.
JAMESTOWN GAME NOTES
- Spaeth was 3-for-4 at the plate, scoring twice.
- Turin, Neiles, and Rodgers all finished with two hits each.
- Sunny Halsey pitched five innings, striking out four while walking six and allowing eight runs on seven hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED--GAME TWO
- Two runs in each of the first two innings helped the Jimmies get out to a 4-1 lead.
- Gentrey Turin was a perfect 4-for-4 at bat, including a triple.
- UJ swiped seven bases and drew nine walks against Saints pitching.
- Abby Blair earned her first win, giving up two runs on seven hits while striking out three.

- The Jimmies are back in Aberdeen, S.D., next weekend for four more games.
