The seventh-ranked University of Jamestown ACHA Division 1 men's hockey team recorded their third shutout in their last four games, defeating No. 15 Illinois State University 8-0 Saturday evening at John L. Wilson Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jamestown led 2-0 after one period thanks to goals by Greg Susinski and Carter Johnson.
- The floodgates opened in the second period as the Jimmies scored five goals in a span of 11:04 to take a 7-0 lead going into the third.
- Jordan Baranesky lit the lamp twice while Logan Berggren, Brad Fortin, and Morgan Venne also added to the goal tally in the second.
- Johnson finished off the scoring in the third period, joining Baranesky as multiple-goal scorers.
