HOW IT HAPPENED—THURSDAY
- Crystal Wale had two goals and an assist, and Gaby Schroder's third-period power play goal ended up being the difference as UJ opened the series with a 6-5 win.
- The teams traded goals in the first period, with the Gophers holding a 3-2 lead after the first twenty minutes.
- Samantha Muller's third goal of the season came at 10:03, assisted by Wale, to tie the score after Minnesota made it 1-0 29 seconds earlier.
- Down 2-1, UJ tied the game on a power play goal by Jaeda Clayton at 17:23. It was her second of the season.
- Wale tied the game at 8:56 of the second with her fourth goal of the year, with assists by Margaux Kautzmann and Clayton.
- Sam Beaulac gave Jamestown its first lead of the game with her first goal of the season at 16:00 of the second. Kelsey Amick and Madison Knudson got the helpers.
- UJ's lead was short-lived, as Minnesota scored 70 seconds later to make it 4-4.
- Wale sent the Jimmies into the third period with the 5-4 lead as she notched her second of the game at 17:39 of the second, with an assist by Bethany Wielgosh.
- Schroder put Jamestown ahead 6-4 with her first of the year at 9:24 of the third. Wielgosh and Beaulac assisted on the goal.
- Minnesota added a power play goal at 11:36 to make it a one-goal game, but UJ was able to hold on for the win in regulation.
- Makenzie Gibson made 12 saves after coming on at the start of the second period to get the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED—FRIDAY
- Anne Hulst was a part of all four goals, scoring twice, to help the Jimmies to a 4-1 win on Friday.
- Hulst's first of the game, and third of the season, came on the power play at 16:06 of the opening period. Jaeda Clayton and Bethany Wielgosh assisted on the goal.
- Minnesota tied the game at 9:46 of the second with a power play goal by Delany Johnson, but Hulst struck again to break the tie.
- Madison Knudson set up Hulst for her second of the game at 13:37 to make it 2-1 Jimmies going into the third.
- Hulst provided the helper for Annika Braun's fifth goal of the season, a power play tally at 3:06 of the third.
- Crystal Wale rounded out the scoring with a short-handed goal, again assisted by Hulst, at 10:59. It was the sixth goal of the year for Wale, tying her with Kiran Vugteveen for the team lead.
- Makenzie Gibson stopped 22 of 23 shots to improve to 3-0 between the pipes.
