The 11^th-ranked University of Jamestown women's hockey team swept the University of Colorado in its weekend series, taking Saturday afternoon's contest 4-2 at John L. Wilson Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Samantha Muller scored at the 9:57 mark of the first on assists by Kiran Vugteveen and Gaby Schroder.
• Vugteveen doubled UJ's lead with just under three minutes to go in the period, with Mackenzie Couling and Sam Beaulac getting credit for the assists.
• Crystal Wale's unassisted goal at 2:12 of the second made it 3-0 in favor of the Jimmies.
• The Buffaloes answered on Jordan Bonk's goal at 15:32, which was set up by Melina Atwood and Mia Fiscelli.
• Jamestown's lead went back to three goals after Jayden Baker scored at the 17:33 mark. The assist went to Madison Knudson.
• Fiscelli  picked up Colorado's second goal of the game, which came at 7:25 of the third on assists by Ellison Hairston and Ashley Rouse.

FOR THE JIMMIES

• Shots were 47-22 in favor of Jamestown.
• Makenzie Gibson had 20 saves in her first game of the season.
• UJ was 1-for-2 on the power play while successfully killing off four Colorado penalties.
