Box Score 2 ABERDEEN, S.D.-- The University of Jamestown scored eight times in their first at bat, then added six more runs to break the game wide open in the third in a 16-0 defeat over Presentation (S.D.) College Friday morning.
Morgan Geiszler (JR/Horace, N.D.), Kassi Ward (JR/Olympia, Wash.), and Santina Zito (SO/Boise, Idaho) all homered in the Jimmies' six-run third.
Zito finished 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored. Mikayla Frost (SR/Melba, Idaho) also had three hits and drove in two. Mariah Martinez (SO/Visalia, Calif.) and Katie Reisdorfer (JR/Fresno, Calif.) each had a pair of hits. Ward drove in a team-high four runs.

In Friday's second game against No. 10 Valley City State (N.D.), UJ fell behind 4-0 after four, but rallied for four runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game.
Courtney Espinoza (SR/Avondale, Ariz.) drove in the Jimmies' first two runs with a double to deep right-center, then came home on Mariah Wick (JR/Jamestown, N.D.)'s single. Martinez doubled to deep right-center to score Wick and tie the game.
The scored remained tied until one out in the bottom of the seventh, when Valley City State's Jayme Menard singled home Autumn Perry with the winning run.
Ann-Marie Crandlemire (SO/Sicamous, BC) struck out five in 3 1/3 innings but allowed four runs on six hits. Becca Thompson (FR/Valley City, N.D.) (0-1) worked two innings and was saddled with the loss, giving up one run on three walks and five strikeouts.
