Mikayla Frost (FR/Melba, ID) has been selected as the North Star Athletic Association Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Frost continued her strong freshman season for the Jimmies, helping UJ to a 3-1 record over the weekend. She batted 10-for-15 (.667), recording a hit in each game. She was 4-for-4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI in a 4-0 win against #9 Morningside (Iowa). Frost finished the week with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI. She increased her season average to .490, which ranks 21st in the NAIA, and her 47 hits are 6th overall. After having an 18-game hitting streak snapped earlier in the month, Frost has hit safely in 25 of her last 26 games.
