WICHITA, Kan.-- Myranda Velazquez (JR/Los Banos, CA) was named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Velazquez was a perfect 4-0 while winning the 170-pound class at the Waldorf University Open last Saturday. She won two of her matches by technical fall and the other two by pinfall.

The wrestler of the week is selected by a vote of the conference's Sports Information Directors. The Jimmie women's wrestling team is in its first season as an associate member of the KCAC.
