MINOT, N.D. – The University of Jamestown women's wrestling team traveled to the Minot State Dome on Sunday, falling 37-6 to Minot State University.
Minot State built an early lead with forfeit victories at 103 and 117 pounds. The Beavers continued their momentum in the lower weights, picking up a pin at 124 pounds and a technical fall at 131 pounds to extend the margin.
After another forfeit at 138 pounds, the Jimmies battled in a contested bout at 145 pounds, where
Ann Marie Meiman dropped an 8-0 decision to Haleigh Lematta.
Jamestown's lone victory of the dual came at 180 pounds.
Emily Novak provided the highlight of the afternoon for the Jimmies, pinning Madilyn Schuck in just one minute flat.
Minot State closed out the dual with a pin at 207 pounds to finalize the 37-6 score.
The Jimmies will be in Dickinson, N.D., on Wednesday, February 11 for a dual against Dickinson State University.
