Jamestown, N.D. – The University of Jamestown women's soccer team will look to continue their winning ways when the host the University of Minnesota Crookston Sunday afternoon at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium.

The Teams
The Jimmies will enter the battle against the Golden Eagles with a 3-4-1 overall record and a 3-2-0 record against conference opponents. With a .600 winning percentage start to the conference season, the Jimmies are currently in sixth place in the NSIC. Last time out, UJ blanked Minnesota State Moorhead 2-0 for what was their first shutout of the season.
Kyah Gabel got the first goal of her career late in the first half, then
Emma Belyk got her first-career goal in the 84
th minute.
Taylor Musser got her first shutout with two saves in net. Jamestown controlled shot attempts with a huge 20-2 advantage.
Julliett Lopez is top 10 in the conference with three goals scored.
Bre Oettle is tied with Lopez for the team-lead six points off of two goals and two assist after recording a helper against the Dragons. Defending the net, Musser owns a 1.88 goals-against average and a .778 save percentage. The freshman from Idaho ranks second in the NSIC with an average of six saves per game.
It has been a tough season for the Golden Eagles as they have still not scored a goal this season. They have a record of 0-5-3 and 0-4-1 in the NSIC, although they have never allowed more than two goals in a contest, and they are only averaging one goal-against per game. With one point, they are only ahead of Winona State in the conference standings.
On Friday, the Eagles fell to the Northern State Wolves 2-0 after conceding late in the 84
th minute on a penalty kick and then again in the 87
th minute as they almost played one of the better teams in the NSIC to a draw. Andrea Cuenca Medina had two of the four shots attempts for Crookston. Netminder Payton King made her second start, allowing two goals on four shots. The Golden Eagles never got a shot on frame while the Wolves had six.
Crookston women's soccer was 2-13-3 and 1-12-2 in the NSIC during the 2025 season. The Golden Eagles finished last in the conference and were picked to finish 15
th in the 2026 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. Tessa VanOverbeke leads the Golden Eagles in shots on goal with five while Jillian Muehlberger has four. Goaltender Pheonix DeBrusk has been one of the better netminders in the Northern Sun as she is top 10 in the conference in both goals-against average (.91) and save percentage (.800) while getting herself NSIC Goaltender of the Week in the opening week of women's soccer action.
Historical Matchups
Jamestown and Crookston have played 11 times since 2006 with the Jimmies leading the series 6-3-2. UJ has won each of the last two matchups, 3-0 in 2024 and 1-0 in NSIC play during the 2025 campaign.
In 2025, the Jimmies first win came against the Golden Eagles at home early in the conference season with
