SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Jamestown men's golf team traveled to Elmwood Golf Course this week to compete in the Augustana Spring Invitational. The Jimmies finished 8th overall in the team standings with a two-round total of +60.
The squad opened the tournament with a 28-over-par 312 and followed up with a 32-over-par 316 in the final round. The competitive field was led by Augustana University and the University of Mary "B" team, who tied for the top spot at +20.
Jimmie Top Performers
Mac Maluski led the scoring effort for Jamestown, finishing in a tie for 16th place. Maluski was remarkably consistent, carding identical rounds of 76 (+5) to finish the tournament at +10. He was followed closely by Noah Law, who secured a tie for 22nd at +12 after rounds of 74 and 79.
Rounding out the team scoring were:
Carter Johnson: Finished in a tie for 32nd at +15 (77-79).
Cole Campbell: Claimed 45th place with a total of +22 (83-80).
Bodie Williams: Tied for 46th at +23 (80-84).
Individual Results
The Jimmies also had two players competing as individuals whose scores did not count toward the team total:
Porter Seidel: Tied for 35th overall at +16. Seidel showed great resilience, bouncing back from an opening 83 to fire a 74 (+3) in his final round.
Aidan Hall: Finished in a tie for 51st at +25 after shooting back-to-back rounds of 83.
