HENDERSON, Nev. – The University of Jamestown men's golf team wrapped up play at The Legacy Golf Club this week, facing a competitive field at the Las Vegas Warrior Mens Invitational. Competing against several ranked programs, the Jimmies finished 9th overall with a three-round team total of +85.
After opening the tournament with a 33-over-par first round, the Jimmies showed steady improvement as the week progressed. The squad shaved four strokes off their score in the second round and finished strong with a tournament-best +23 in the final frame.
Performance Highlights
Cole Campbell anchored the team scoring, finishing 30th at +17. Campbell's final round featured a sharp 34 on the front nine, signaling a strong return to form. He was followed closely by Aidan Hall, who took 36th (+23), and Bodie Williams, who finished in a tie for 37th (+24).
Other team contributors included:
Mac Maluski: Finished 41st with a total of +25.
Noah Law: Tied for 44th at +28.
Individual Results
The Jimmies were also represented by several individual competitors whose scores, while not counting toward the team total, highlighted the program's depth:
Porter Seidel: Led all Jimmies in the standings, finishing tied for 19th at +10. His tournament was highlighted by a flawless even-par second round.
Gavin Kinsey: Finished 51st (+40).
Sam Boser: Tied for 53rd (+45).
Grant Bestland: Finished 56th (+59).
UBC Okanagan secured the team victory at even-par, while Oakley Mayner (UBC Okanagan) and Peyton Coahran (Winona State) shared the individual title at 6-under-par.
