Jimmies battle back late but fall to Wolves 86-77

Jamestown, ND— The University of Jamestown Men's Basketball team saw their five-game winning streak come to an end, falling 86-77 to the Northern State Wolves at Harold Newman Arena. Despite a massive second-half scoring surge, the Jimmies could not overcome a double-digit deficit established in the opening frame. The loss brings Jamestown's record to 7-7 overall and 5-3 in the NSIC.

1st Half: Wolves Control the Tempo (Northern St. leads 41-26)
Northern State dominated the first half, outscoring the Jimmies by 15 points to take a 41-26 lead into the locker room. Jamestown struggled from the floor early, shooting just 8-of-31 (25.8%) in the opening period. The Wolves capitalized on turnovers, converting Jimmie miscues into 12 points in the half.

2nd Half: Jimmies Charge Back (Jamestown wins half 51-45: Northern State Wins Game 86-77) 
Jamestown found their rhythm in the second half, putting up 51 points and winning the frame 51-45. Anthony Walters led the offensive effort with 21 total points, supported by Owen Hektner's 12 points and double-digit contributions from Cole Glasgow and Thomas Diew. The Jimmies dominated the paint in the second half, recording 34 points in the key, but were unable to close the gap entirely as Northern State stayed perfect at the free-throw line late.
