Women's track and field places fourth at Al Bortke Open

Bismarck, N.D. – The University of Jamestown women's track and field team competed at the Al Bortke Open in Bismarck, North Dakota, on Sunday. The women took fourth place of eight teams and recorded six personal records and six season bests.  
FOR THE JIMMIES – TRACK EVENTS
  • Paige Erhardt placed sixth in the 100-meter Hurdles with a time of 15.94m to earn three points. Ella Germundson also competed and finished in 17.27. 
  • Madalyn Neumann placed seventh in the 400 meters with a time of 1:05.88 for two points, and Ella Germundson placed eighth with a time of 1:11.47 to add one point. 
  • Allyson Goodmanson ran a 5:09.52 in the 1500m to place second, Kirsten Vander Kooi followed in fourth place with a personal best of 5:13.59, Brooke Olson placed fifth with a personal best of 5:17.64, and Jennifer Tallackson placed seventh with a personal best of 5:25.76. They earned a collective 19 points. 
  • Sara Sletto ran 13.61 in the 100 meters, and 23.38 in the 200 meters. 
FOR THE JIMMIES – FIELD EVENTS
  • Heather Okeson placed seventh in the Discus with a season-best 38.25m for two points. Makenzie Gibson also competed and marked 32.93m. 
  • Brenna Held placed fifth in the Hammer Throw with a personal best of 43.94m for four points. Makenzie Gibson marked a season best of 42.41m, and Heather Okeson threw a personal best of 42.17m.
  • Paige Erhardt jumped 1.55m in the High Jump to place fifth and earn four points. Madalyn Neumann added one point in seventh place with a mark of 1.50m
  • Erhardt also placed fifth in the Javelin Throw at 35.02m for another four points. 
  • Quinn Bassingthwaite placed third in the Pole Vault at a personal best of 3.35m, and Ruth Harris followed in fourth at a season-best of 3.05m for a collective 11 points. 
  • Brenna Held placed third in the Shot Put at 12.33m, earning six points. 
  • Ruth Harris marked a season-best of 10.24m in the Triple Jump to place sixth and add three points. Monica Goven followed in seventh at 9.80m for two points. 
  • Sydney Ulrich jumped a season-best of 4.73m in the Long Jump.
